なむ400号を超えて

福住寺月報「なむ」は、平成2（1990）年11月、第1号として発行し400号を超えました。約33年間にわたって、ご法話のみならず法要行事の周知、また、社会の出来事なども広く掲載してきました。改めまして読者の皆様に感謝を申し上げます。
令和2年から始まりましたコロナ禍は、本年5月8日にて、感染症法上の位置付けが季節性インフルエンザと同様の５類に引き下げられ、感染症対策のマスク着用、手指消毒など大幅に緩和されました。しかしながら、個人の判断を尊重すると言いましても、３年間着用し続けてきたマスクを安心して外すことは、まだ少し難しいようです。 あるお参り先の奥様は、この際、マスク着用せず近所のスーパーへ買い物に出掛けたそうです。奥様は「ほとんどの方がマスクを着用していて、私を避けるように離れ、遠ざかるような行動が見受けられた。しかも、どうしてマスクをしていないのか。という目線が数多くあった」と言うのです。そこから「ああ、まだマスク着用しなきゃいけないのだな」と思ったそうです。
私たち人間は、他人の目を気にする性質があると言えるでしょう。特に日本人はその傾向が強いように感じます。住んでいる地域での自治会や町内会活動、ご近所さんとの関係、生活圏での他人の目、仕事上での人間関係など、他人の目を気にし過ぎて生きていくことで、心が疲れ切ってしまうこともあるのです。 お念仏のみ教えは、私たちの日常生活において、生きていく力になります。仏さまの眼差しから見えるものを、いのちのよりどころとして大切に聞かせていただく。そして、多くの人と関わりを持つよう心掛け、お寺の法要行事など積極的に参詣致しましょう。

“NAMU” has reached 400th issue

NAMU (the monthly newsletter of Fukujyuji) was first issued in November 1990 and has reached 400th this month.
As the resident priest and the monthly editor of this blog, I thank the Fukujyuji followers who have been reading this blog.
For 33 years, I have been explaining Teaching of Amida Buddha, writing notices of Fukujyuji events, and my personal views on the society.
Teaching of Amida Buddha contains Amida Buddha's philosophy.
The words of Amida Buddha, who was born in 624BC, can guide us who live in the modern age in our daily lives.
As a priest, I would like to continue to spread what can been seen through the eyes of Amida Buddha.
As of the 8th of May 2023, the classification of Covid19 virus has been lowered to 5th grade, same as the seasonable influenza.
The recommendation to wearing masks when we go out and sanitation of our hands has stopped.
However, most people in the city of Sapporo are still wearing masks and it feels as though those who are without masks will be reprimanded.
In Sapporo city with the population of 2 million people, even without the official restriction, people are watching each other and can not go out without the masks they have been wearing for 3 years.
